My son used our portable dvd car charger to charge his PSP. Now it will not charge. How do we fix it?
He has the new Star Wars version. My other son has the older version which the battery will fit and play in the star wars but will not charge. The star wars battery will play in the old one but dies immediatly.

Depending on the voltage of the charger, it sounds like he used a charger that was too powerful and over-charged the battery. The battery was unable to handle such a high amount of power and failed. I would recommend buying a new battery.
i think you have to change the settings on the psp to which way you want to charge it. go under settings, and go to system settings and look for either psp battery information, usb charge, or just look around in the settings icon until you find anything that helps you with batttery charging
either the battery is overcharged because the car had too much power, or it has to do with the settings
if not either one of those just get a new battery
you can sent it back to Sony or just buy another one.
well i think maybe you should buy a new battery…… or if you bought warranty try using to get a exchange…….
you killed that battery. dont use chargers not made for your device. youll need to by a new battery (around $45)
