   i don’t think it will drain the battery but i would unplug it anyway

   No it won’t. When the phone cells are ‘full’ it cuts off further electricity. Your car battery will act the same as the mains, i.e. it will be cut off when the phone it fully charged.

   No, I leave mine in all the time.

   There is a minimal drain. But it would drain your battery there if you left it on for a couple of months maybe. But otherwise, do not worry about it.

   Nope. If you have a newer car, the port turns off when the car turns off. On an older car, once the phone is charged there will be no more current flowing to it, thus no wear on the battery.

   Absolutely! We have a Grand Prix that does that.

   WAY TO TEST: Plug the charger into your phone, turn off the car. If the phone continues charging then the outlet is run from battery power!

   Regardless of whether something is charging or not, it will still route power to that charger, and overtime, can drain your battery! It may not be too noticable, just things like sluggish windows, or seats but over extended periods of time it could affect your battery.

   It also depends on the type of car you have. The older ones tend to do this more than the new ones, I think!
