A demonstration of the potential of electrolysis for the production of hydrogen gas. 12v 2 amps. Table salt is used as an electrolyte. The largest bubbles have a diameter of about 2.5cm.

try baking soada as a electrolyte dosent give off chlorine gass

How does it do without salt? I understand that Chlorine gas is given off when salt is in the soulution. As you likely know it is very poisonous.
Aluminum bowl, with a rag placed inside. Aluminum foil is on the other side of the rag. The bowl acts as one electrode and the foil the other. The closer the electrodes get to each other, the more aggressive the reaction, hence a thin rag acting as a buffer between the two. 12v 2 amps coming out of a car battery charger. I don’t know what kind of wave the charger put out. Table salt, a whole lot, was the electrolyte. If you can think of a question, I’ll try to answer it.
