How fast can you charge a 1100 mAH airsoft gun (AEG) NiMH battery from a car charger?
Also, for a first time charge, at around what percentage should the battery perform in comparison to its performance after a few cycles?
Thanks.
Also, I’m using a Super Brain 960 charger to connect to both the car battery and the airsoft battery.

That is very unrecommended… You might ruin your battery, unless that car charger is specifically made for airsoft. The performance won’t change the first few times, but you’ll notice if that you keep doing so the battery will not be as lasting, let alone the slower rate of fire. The time for the car charger to charge your battery will be based upon the charge on it’s output value, do you know how much power it’s voltage gives?
Hope this helps.
Not sure what you mean, the Super Brain 960 charger should re-charge your 1100 mAH Battery in about 45 minutes to 1 hour. The first charge should be a slow charge of about 8 to 10 hours to make sure that all of the cells are fully charged.
But you say you also have it connected to a car battery. Make sure that you have the correct voltage setting for each different battery when charging so that you don’t ruin the Battery and or the charger.

You should be able to charge the battery with the same settings you would if it were to be plugged into a wall. You should still be able to perform a solid quick charge with your SB960 no sweat, but when you pull that much amperage, it’ll drain the battery faster. Your first charge should be close to 8-9 hours, after that we recommend that you charge the battery 4-5 hours if you chose to stick to a trickle charge. Never quick charge a battery the first time its charged! Remember, quick charging reduces battery life so be prepared to replace batteries often.
If I were you, I would make sure this isn’t going to ruin any of your products or even your car battery. Check Airsplat.com for more information. I wouldn’t risk it if I were you. Here’s some info that I found on this situation.

Typical charging time will be about 8-10 hrs for the first initial charge for any charger and 4-6 hrs for a recharge which varies from charger to charger. With the smart chargers, they will indicate when your battery is done charging but make sure to keep monitoring it just in case. You can never be too careful
i like having a motorcycle battery with my super brain 960. they fit nicely in a rucksack and allow for quick charging out in the field when there is no outlet or generator for miles. I strongly advise that your first charge be a trickle charge for about 8-9 hours and then after that if you still wanna do a trickle charge, 4 hours tops. batteries are expendable so count on going through them quickly if you like quick charging. motorcycle battery is still going strong after the past 4 skirmishes.
